- Well, from what I've seen about Telebit they're mainly overpriced,
- poorly supported and not particuarly strong v.34 performers. The
- Trailblazer uses a Rockwell chipset, so I wouldn't expect great things
- from it. Rumor has it that's it's really a Zoom OEM. I'd strick that
- option from the list if I were you. USR Courier's are very good modems,
- quite reliable and good at interoperability. The Motorola Power is also a
- very good modem, which also does quite well at interoperability (although
- the Courier supports more protocols, and therefor is better for BBS/ISP
- type use IMO). The Motorola Premier supports more features then the Power
- (including 33.6kbps v.34 vs. the 28.8 v.34 for the Power), and is porbably
- more comparable with the Courier. Both Power and Premier use similar
- hardware and both should be fairly reliable, and about equal to the
- Courier in this respect in my experience.
-
- Personnaly though, I'd recommend looking at the Comsphere 3825Plus
- from AT&T Paradyne. It's a bit more expansive then the Courier, but AT&T
- builds some very reliable modems and has excellent tech support. it also
- runs at 33.6kbps.
